Digital Literacy for All Team Pays Courtesy Visit to Essien Udim LGA Chairman

As part of preparations for the forthcoming Digital Literacy for All – Essien Udim Edition, the Tony Digital 247 Team paid a courtesy visit to the Executive Chairman of Essien Udim Local Government Area, Hon. Ntiedo Usoro, on Monday, July 14, 2025, at the Council Secretariat, Afaha Ikot Ebak.

The visit, led by Mr. Tony Ekpo, Team Lead of Tony Digital 247, was aimed at officially informing the Council Chairman about the programme and extending an invitation to formally inaugurate the training initiative when it commences.

During the meeting, Mr. Ekpo thanked the Chairman for the warm reception and took time to brief him on the vision and objectives of the Digital Literacy for All project. He emphasized the program’s importance to the people of Essien Udim and Akwa Ibom State at large, highlighting its focus on equipping young people with essential digital skills that can drive innovation, entrepreneurship, and employability in today’s digital economy.

He noted that the initiative is not for profit, but a mission to add value to communities, bridge the digital divide, and raise a new generation of tech-savvy individuals who can compete globally.

In his remarks, Hon. Ntiedo Usoro commended the team for their dedication and expressed appreciation for the thoughtful initiative. He pledged his full support toward the success of the program and assured the team of the Council’s willingness to collaborate. The Chairman also promised to be physically present to officially launch the programme in Essien Udim, reaffirming his commitment to youth empowerment through digital education.

The visit ended with a symbolic presentation of the official Digital Literacy for All branded T-shirt to the Chairman, representing a shared commitment to building a digitally inclusive future.
